FAQs

How long is a typical “Shop with Me'' session?

I like to do 2- 4 hour sessions for more of a enjoyable trip. I’ve noticed most of my clients get tired after about 2.5 hours. It also helps to let your first purchases set in. I recommend we do no more than 3 stores per session.

I love shopping but I still need a stylist with me. Does that work?

Of course it does! A “Shop with Me’’ session would be perfect for you!

What stores will we go to on the “Shop with me” trips?

I’m glad you asked! Before we meet to shop we can discuss over the phone or meet another day for a consultation. That will help me curate where we should shop. I’ll take into account your budget and work out which stores will best suit you. It will be completely tailored to you!

How many shopping trips do you think I’ll need in a “Shop with Me” session ?

Generally most clients need at least two. Or one in-store shopping trip and then some online shopping. I recommend to book shopping sessions for the next season 3-5 months later.

Can I bring my husband, friend or family member along to my appointments?

It’s completely up to you. Just make sure the person accompanying you understands that all the focus is on you the client.

Where does the consultation take place?

I love taking my clients for coffee! So a Starbucks, your office, or any neutral location of your choosing will work. Wherever you’re comfortable!

How long is a closet edit?

Your Closet Edit is up to 4 hours. After that my hourly rate goes into effect.

What is your rate structure? How do I pay

Your consultation is free. I have a flat rate for most of my services. “Shop with me” is an hourly rate, with a minimum of 2 hours. You prepay for the first two hours. Once the two hours are completed, you pay me at the end of each session, unless otherwise discussed. I accept cash, cash app, and credit cards.

How far do you travel? And do you have a travel fee?

A small travel fee is required for areas 15 miles outside Chesapeake’s 23320 zip code. For travel 1-hour or more away, my hourly rate goes into effect.

How much should i expect to spend on clothes and accessories?

Your budget is completely tailored to you but if you are looking to completely redo your wardrobe, anything less than $3,000 most likely won’t get you everything you need. $3,000 – $5,000+ is best for a new wardrobe. On average, a quality garment costs $175. This average takes into account more expensive items like cashmere, silks, coats, and boots as well as less expensive garments and items on sale. For clients with high-end interest or suit needs, a larger budget is needed.
